Black Hole Light.

Gadgets, Useful Things by Richard

I’ve seen quite a few lights that light up the inside of your bag so you can actually see inside to find things. However, this is the first one I’ve seen that I’ve thought was cool. I thought they had a cool purpose, but if you have to fumble around in your bag in the dark for the switch to the bag light, what’s the point of even having one? This light has 2 parts, the actual light and a magnetic sensor. They go on either side of your zipper, so when you open the bag and the sensor is moved away from the light, it comes on automagically. Nice.

I also thought The Song Tapper was pretty cool when I saw it a few days ago.

The Song Tapper really is amazing. I’ve tried tried to fool it for a couple weeks by going obscure on it (although not too unfairly obscure) and it always rocks the house and gets it right.

Your find of the Black Hole Light could not have come at a better time. I just ordered a Timbuk2 bag for my soon-to-arrive MacBook and was looking for a way to brighten the inside of the bag. I’d seen other bags with bright interiors for easy viewing, but I went with the Timbuk2 instead.

I’ll be ordering 2 of these and giving them a try. Thanks!
