My Fabrik.

My Fabrik

There are a few websites out there in the “Store Your Files Online” market. For example: this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and most recently, this. They all have a slightly different focus and market themselves in different ways, but they all end up being a place you store your files online. My Fabrik is the latest frog in the swamp and focuses on the media angle: photos, music, and video. You can upload files one at a time or in batches, and both work equally well. The interface is fairly slick, offering a nice view of all your files, slightly reminiscent of Adobe Bridge. You can view your photos one at a time or as a slideshow, listen to your MP3′s, or watch your videos right in the browser. You can also download them back to your computer. I could see this being useful both as personal media storage as well as for small business project collaboration (logo libraries, documents in progress, etc.).

The free account is 1GB of storage and is in Open Beta (you might find a bug or two).

Thanks for the recognition on http://www.fresharrival.com – we love the exposure and feedback. One thing that this “frog” provides, that our less evolved cousins don’t, is the ability to link a music play list to your favorite site or community (this is one of the suite of linking/sharing options that we provide).

So give myfabrik.com a try and be sure to send us your feedback…
