Cobra Starship.

by Richard

If you went out and saw the much promoted ballyhooed movie Snakes on A Plane, you’ve heard this band at the end… their entire first music video for “Bring It (Snakes On A Plane)” was included immediately following the feature. It’s extremely catchy. The guys at FueledByRamen sent along a copy of their CD, which comes out next Tuesday, and I’ve really been enjoying it, as it’s easily the most danceable CD I’ve heard in a long time.

Cobra Starship is the side project of Gabe Saporta, lead singer of Midtown and is composed of himself and some friends he brought along for the ride. This music is different, but very accessible. Self described as Rock / Hip Hop / House / Breakbeat / Afro-beat / Grindcore, they’re definitely bringing something original to the game. If you’re ready for a band that defies convention & doesn’t follow the crowd but blazes its own musical path, this CD is for you. It can be preordered for $8 at the link below.
