ChatterBug.
by RichardChatterBug is hands-down the coolest gadget I’ve heard about lately. There’s a ton of VOIP offerings out there that make long-distance calling dirt-cheap, but no other product I’ve seen has simplified it this way. It’s VOIP without the computer. It plugs between your phone and the wall, and routes all long-distance phone calls over the internet. Even better: it only requires the power from your phone jack to run, so if the power goes out, the ChatterBug does not.
It’s $24.95 and available now, including a free month of service, after which it is $10 per month. This seems like a great way to get grandma away from Ma Bell’s ridiculous long-distance rates.
