Solar Spark Lighter.

My uncle whipped one of these out at our 4th of July party to light a cigarette. It worked beautifully, creating smoke at the focal point almost immediately… just like burnin’ ants with a magnifying glass. He said he got it from Radio Shack in the early 70’s and sure enough, there was a Radio Shack logo right in the metal. I doubt Radio Shack makes them anymore, but I was able to find one online at the Sundance Solar Yahoo Store. It looks exactly the same only, predictably, it’s not advertised as a cigarette lighter but a camping lighter and survival tool. It’s on sale for only $12.95 so pick one up and impress your friends!
