DonorsChoose is a great site that I just found out about from John Mayer’s blog, of all places! It’s a site where you can donate money directly to classrooms/schoolchildren who need it for particular projects. There’s a whole system in place to make sure that everything is on the up and up, that the money is used in the most efficient way possible, and you even get photos and letters back from the children that you’ve helped. Awesome!
