LÄRABAR.

by Chelsey

I have to give a shout-out to this little food product, especially since I am probably not alone in my quest to detox a bit after several months of fatty binging.

One of my coworkers brought an assorted box of these bars home from a national grocery convention, and I was immediately intrigued. Anything with a list of ingredients shorter than the Bill of Rights and even more pronounceable gets my vote. Take this listing for the Cherry Pie flavor: dates, almonds, unsweetened cherries. Or how about the tasty Ginger Snap: dates, almonds, pecans, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.

The bars are uncooked, unprocessed and contain no added sweeteners. And did I mention they taste good? They really, really do! And if you need a chocolate fix, go for the company’s other bar, Jôcalat, which is also organic, Fair Trade Certified™ and surprisingly not bad for you.
