Edith Macefield.

Useful Things by Richard

Talk about sticking to your guns. Edith Macefield recently passed away at age 86, in the same house, on the same couch where her mother died. She was literally offered nearly a million dollars by a developer to sell him her house, but she said no. Buildings went up all around her little house, but her house remained. All that Edith wanted was to live and die in that house, and that’s exactly what she got. The picture says it all (the full size version is available at the link below.) It’ll probably be torn down soon now, but at the moment it stands as a testament to a lady who chose to say no.

I didn’t get what the point of the Smart car was before. Now I get it. BTW, MobLogic is a great show.
