Sugru.

by Richard

Have you ever used a tool and thought, “this can be made better”? Have you ever had an object that you own break and wish that you could easily fix it? Perhaps sugru is the answer. It’s a new silicone-based material that seems a lot like Silly Putty, so it can be easily shaped, but it cures in about 30 mins, so it is a permanent fix. Sugru can be used to repair eyeglasses, mugs, scissors, uneven chairs/tables, or used to make new and unique devices that solve a need that you have. The sky’s the limit! I’m thinking about getting some to put on my Shure e2c headphones, which have begun to fray around the ear loops. This is really cool stuff. To understand just what sugru is, check out the gallery and the video.
