Once upon a time, a few people got together to create an online game called Game Neverending. Many people loved it, but it never really took off. However, all was not lost. The photo-sharing part of the app was turned into a little service called Flickr, which eventually became rather large, very popular, and was sold to Yahoo for 30 million. Eventually, the founders of Flickr left Yahoo, and have been pretty silent for awhile. Just yesterday, though… they announced that they’ve come full circle, and have been busy building an online game called Glitch. I’m super-excited about this. It looks like it’s going to be an awesome game! And just think… even if it isn’t successful (by all accounts it will be, though!), maybe it’ll produce another great app as a by-product.

Interesting name… potentially very useful service. Glyde aims to make selling/buying used dvds, cds, games and books super easy. You can list an item in seconds because you don’t have to put in descriptions and fill out pages of forms, like when you’re listing something on eBay. They just pull the information about the product in for you automatically. Glyde gets 10% of the sale price, and they send you a Glyde mailer that is stamped and ready to go. You package the item, drop it in the mail and you’re done! Sweet.

Buying is even simpler. Just go to the website and type what you’re looking for to get started!

Also out today is the Nintendo Channel… I haven’t really played with any of the features other than being able to download game demos to your Nintendo DS. Oh. My. Goodness. So. Awesome.

Delish is a new Mac app which is currently in beta and shows you a visual representation of your del.icio.us bookmarks. I’m not doing it justice. If you have a Mac, go check it out!

I have some very fond memories of playing Snood in college. It got pretty damn competitive between a bunch of us. It’s a pretty simple game really. You shoot different types of snoods up at angles. You try to connect the snood you are shooting with other snoods of the same type — if there are three or more, they blow up. If you don’t blow any up, your danger level rises. Once it’s full, the snoods drop down one level. The goal is to eliminate all the snoods without them falling all the way down. The trick is to carve out sections so that with one snood you can “drop” a huge section of other snoods with one shot. This gives huge bonuses. There are also crazy trick levels where you can work on your crazy complicated trick shots.

The reason I mention this now is because Snood 4 just came out for both Windows and Mac. Several new features, the big one being that it works on all modern versions of OS X now. Sweet.

Although it’s labeled as a game, I think it’s much more than that. Download the version that’s best for your particular computing platform and experience Passage for 5 minutes. Don’t forget, you don’t have to only move left and right. Also, make sure you read the Creator’s Statement after you’ve been through Passage once.
